Warrior Balance: 40 Days of Meditation
There is nothing like feeling out of balance.
Balance is necessary for strong warriors. Especially when meaningful Nationhood building begins “one warrior at a time” (Alfred & Corntassel).
Because our mind, body, hearts and spirits exist in a constant state of interconnectivity and movement- we must address each area in order to restore well-being, health and vitality!
There is only one thing to when we experience unbalance- seek balance!
While I usually tend to embark on a rigorous physical cleanse/challenge- such as an 8 day juice detox- I realize that I am addressing the serpent- or physical level of my well-being.
Instead- I am going to embrace my balance from the Eagle- spiritual level.
Yes, a restoration of balanced eating, green smoothies,sweet sacred salmon, lemon water and nettle tea will guide a restoration of my digestive system- however I am going to challenge myself to start a meditation journal for 40 days.
I will be sharing my journal with a loved one- in order to keep myself accountable to the challenge. This is an opportunity to re-centre the spiritual being in the pursuit of health- rather than the physical body.
I wonder if this will allow me to grow into a place of meaningful love for my body- as opposed to judgement, discontent or negativity?
Today I begin the day with a 60 min Lymphatic Cleansing/Immunity Building Practice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-37TKl7ouI) and will follow with a meditation!
